A person who at the
time of applying
for membership in CFCA
must be employed by a company that
falls into one of the following classes
and whose direct responsibilities
meet the criteria as stated below
and/or the CFCA constitution:
Corporate Carrier
Membership
For companies in any of these categories:
- Service Providers:
- Wireless Carrier/Network Operator
- Fixed Line Carrier/NetworkOperator
- Inter-Exchange Carrier (IXC)
- Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier
(ILEC)
- International Carrier/Network
Operator
- Competitive Local Exchange
Carrier (CLEC)
- Operator service providers
- International voice and data
carriers
- Private pay phone industry
- Private network companies
- Resellers
- ISPs
- Enhanced Service Providers (ESPs/Value
Added (VANs)
- Companies whose principal business
is directly related to the communications
industry.
Corporate Carrier
members select an individual as the
Corporate Carrier Designate.
This individual must have primary
or secondary responsibility for the
detection prevention and/or investigation,
apprehension and prosecution of fraud
offenders or responsible for Risk
Management/Revenue Assurance. The
designate and individual members have
full electoral rights and privileges
of the Association.
Other employees of the same company
who meet the same criteria as the
designate are eligible to join as
as part of a Corporate Industry multi-membership. These
members have the same privileges as
the Corporate Carrier Designate with
full electoral rights and privileges.
Corporate Industry
Membership
For companies in any of these categories:
- Owners of Customer Premises Equipment
(CPE, PBX/PABX, etc.)
- Data transmission companies
- End-user company: A company that
uses communications services, i.e.,
retail and manufacturing industries,
hospitals, financial institutions,
universities, hotels, etc.
- Industry vendors
and consultants
Corporate Industry members select
an individual as the Corporate Industry
Designate. This individual must
be directly involved with primary
or secondary responsibility for the
areas of communications systems/fraud
in relation to the company.
The designate and individual members
have full electoral rights and privileges
of the Association.
Other employees of the same company
who meet the same criteria as the
designate are eligible to join as
Industry Members under their companies’ multi-membership. These
members have the same privileges as
the Corporate Industry Designate with
full electoral rights and privileges
of the Association.
Law Enforcement Individual
Membership
This classification includes law
enforcement agents, police officers,
prosecutors and related government
agents, worldwide; federal, state
or local. These members have
electoral privileges only for the
purpose of electing a Law Enforcement
Member Director on the Board of Directors.
Members may participate in all other
activities of the Association.
Retired Membership
Current members who are retiring
from the profession are eligible to
transfer into this category.
They have no electoral rights, but
are extended all other privileges.
